BUILDING THE FUTURE – ONE INTERACTION AT A TIME

Shop with a Cop Foundation of Silicon Valley (SWACSV) is an ethnically-led, 100% volunteer non-profit charitable organization, established in 2008 with an IRS ruling of a 501(C)-(3), charitable entity, in January 2012. SWACSV’s primary goal is to promote literacy among children, ages 5-12, from under resourced neighborhoods and children who have suffered a traumatic crisis in their lives such as the loss of a parent due to violence or domestic violence in the home.

Shop with a Cop’s philosophy is to foster a continued mutual respect between law enforcement and the communities they serve by engendering trust in the community and humanizing the person behind the badge so children can see police officers through a different lens. We would like to build bridges of collaboration and strategically invest in education, leadership development, and capacity building programs to help youth achieve to their fullest potential.
